A Part of Me
The sleeping piece of soul woken by her smile.
You have awakened a part of my soul,
A part of me that has slept.
A part I thought I had lost,
Forgotten amongst the depths.
The part that creates the joy
I feel when for you I do,
Things that make you smile,
Things that show I care for you.
For a smile upon your face
To me is a gift bestowed.
More precious then diamond or pearls,
More precious then bricks of gold.
It melts my heart to see
Your beautiful face a glow.
The perfect face of an angel
That rescued me from my life's woes.
For trapped in my life I was,
A hostage to all my pain.
Doubting loves very existence,
I am so glade you came
And freed me from my prison.
You came and unlock the door.
You found my heart hidden so deep,
And restored my life once more.
“You have awakened a part of my soul,”
A Part of Me
