Worth The Cost
Love that rearranges every priority.
Love is an emotion that draws you in.
Now its feeling flow under your skin.
Twisted about; held by its claws,
You change your priorities to meet its cause.
Once it takes a hold, you'll do what it wants.
"In the name of love", its voice will taunt.
Now things you do, before you never thought.
For the happiness of your love, is your only want.
Soon forgotten friends, that you never see,
Because with this one your determined to be.
As time goes on, most loves fall apart.
Then its claws are ripped from your heart.
Leaving deep wounds, an infected sore.
The longer it lasted, the more it tore.
Soon physically, your wounds will heal,
But the pain of your heart, only your mind will feel.
As you constantly grieve over you loss,
You will start to wonder was it worth the cost.
“You change your priorities to meet its cause.”
