The Timing of My Love

The Timing of My Love

Quick as lightning, deep as vow.

· · ·

Love, life, and happiness is what you have given to me
Freedom from a cold dark prison, your love has set me free.
The needing for your touch, and desire to see your smile.
This affair has happened so quickly. What usually would take awhile
To know and understand about you and I ,
Has flowed effortless and seems destined from on high.
For you too have been hurt, your heart like mine has broken,
Because lovers from our past did not honor their sacred Tokens.
Promises that were made, soon they slipped away,
What evidence can I give to you that my faith will not also change?
A look into my eyes, a chance to see my soul,
This is all I can offer so that you may surely know
That my love professed is sincere, and eternal in its nature
For I loved you once before, we just can not remember.
Taking you by my hand, and leading you through the veil,
These will be the evidences that my love will never fail.
May God speak peace to your soul, and calm you fragile heart.
Entrust me with your love, for I will never depart
From your side and through all eternity we will soon see,
The time we truly need to understand each other completely.
