The Darkest Night

Headlights through black — and what they reveal.

· · ·

Headlights piercing through the darkest night,
As the intermittent line becomes my guide.
Nothing to do now but think,
Surrendering myself to this pensive ride
Each dash takes me farther away
from the true desire of my heart.
Each and every second that passes
Echoes the increasing time and distance apart.
Words have become imperfect
Incapable of expressing the feeling of our souls
Only by making love with you
can we convey what our hearts truly know.
I remember our bodies clinging one to another
Pressing until they become one.
A closeness never shared before
Not since the world has begun.
We become lost in each others eyes
Only aware of the others pleasure
This physical emotional rush that consumes us
Creates a closeness that cannot be measured
Watching you bite your lower lip
You hearing me call your name
The way you say "ohhh baby"
For us, making love will never be the same.
As your sweaty body sits on top of me
I push myself deep inside
my hands on your shoulders to pull you down
Enjoying in you the pleasure this provides.
For what seems like hours we make love
Until it is as though we have become one.
We lie in bed naked wrapped in each other
Until we are gently awakened by the warmth of the sun.
Sharing a perfect night of pleasure
Of love, of closeness, we become one in serenity.
Our future will be protected by this union
As we will be in love for all eternity
