Simple Moments
Gathered, gone — and still the gold of a life.
Simple moments gathered simple moment gone,
I wonder of the enjoyment we had this night listening to Diana play her songs.
Did I take a moment to stop and simply stare at you?
Was I fighting for my breath wondering how this could be true?
With your intoxicating beauty and celestial spirit from on high
One of the best moments of my life, I've just spent by your side.
For whatever have I done to deserve this chance at hand?
The only sadness of the night was that of the passing sands
through my fingers as the night drew to a close.
I walk you to your door step as the anticipation inside me grows.
I looked into your eyes and knew one thing for sure
I am glad that I have met you and that you have been brought into my world.
Reluctantly I leave you as I depart away from your door
Hoping that you're still smiling as you remember the roses I brought before.
For a Beautiful symbol of love the rose has always been
And I am not ashamed to admit it is your heart I am trying to win
A simple token of my feelings and a reminder of the glorious evening I spent
With the most beautiful and perfect women that I have ever met.
