For a While Now
Autumn leaves passed — the season of waiting ends.
For a while now, all places and times
Have become blurred within my mind.
I seem to reflect with memories glance
All the loves from deep within my past.
But as the autumn leaves have now passed away,
And the day has become a new.
I have seen in to the eyes of an angle,
And have experienced love with someone new.
What consequence will this love with the end bring?
Will it end in sorrow or in me buying a wedding ring?
For a fate I was not planning has now joined my path.
And in love I have fallen, for me, much too fast.
But as a take a moment and try to catch my breath,
I am filled with calming peace that radiates from my chest.
As I remember the promise that God to me gave,
I will carry you in the palms of my hands all of your days
Thus I have decided to keep my faith in the divine,
As I look to this new love with no thought of the time.
Between you and I and our ending fate,
For I may be staring in to the eyes of my future mate.
“But as the autumn leaves have now passed away,”
For a While Now
